A sense of place has a strong influence on my work, and I am interested in exploring character in the context of the surrounding landscape.
The Dreamcatcher Chronicles
I’m currently working on a series of YA novels, The Dreamcatcher Chronicles. The first in the series, The Dreamcatcher’s Apprentice will be published towards the end of 2015. You can read the first chapter here.
Short stories
I enjoy writing short stories for children and adults. One of my favourites, Dreams of Horses, was written for a project called Throwaway Lines. Each of the writers who took part in the project was each given a handwritten note on a scrap of paper (which had either been lost or discarded by its owner, and picked up by London-based writer and project co-ordinator Andy Hayes) to use as the starting point for a story.
